Like many other extremely successful authors, Arthur C. Clarke co-wrote some of his books with another author. In the case of a three-book series that includes Time’s Eye, Sunstorm, and Firstborn, he joined Stephen Baxter to produce intriguing tales filled with details that showcase a study of astrophysics as well as imagination encompassing distant worlds.
Like all science fiction, these stories highlight individual human foibles and courage and perseverance while at the same time spotlighting societal problems that we see right now, in every country. And the result is tales that draw readers inexorably to their conclusion.
Do you note the parallels between fiction and real life?
