My introduction to Kat Martin’s work came through The Bride’s Necklace, a page-turner of a Historical Romance centred around the plight of a young woman trying to protect her sweet and innocent sister from the advances of their lecherous stepfather.  With resources limited and wishing to remain anonymous, she takes employment as a housekeeper for a rakish young lord.

Of course, the handsome devil is attracted to her and she to him.  But trust does not come easily and secrets lead to danger.

The Bride’s Necklace is the first book in a trilogy, followed by The Devil’s Necklace and The Handmaiden’s Necklace.  Ms. Martin’s books include the Bride Trilogy and the Heart Trilogy, and she has written modern tales, among them the Raines of Wind Canyon series.
