My first science fiction novels were those of Robert Heinlein. I could not get enough of them.
Starship Troopers introduced me to life in outer space. The characters written by Heinlein had depth not conveyed in the movie of the same name. Stranger in a Strange Land is a classic no one should miss. The Number of the Beast puts an alien twist on the number 666. And how can you pass up a book entitled Have Space Suit―Will Travel?
Robert Heinlein’s tales inspired me to pay more attention in science class, and to read magazines like Omni and Scientific American. And while I confess that I am no rocket scientist and find technology baffling, that has never stopped me from enjoying books, movies, and television shows about space.
