Writer Scarlett Scott has written contemporary novels, but the majority of her steamy tales are historical romances―many of her characters noblemen, though not necessarily noble men. At least, not until they discover their capacity for love.

Dangerous Duke is book 3 of her League of Dukes series, and contains plenty of period detail and painted scenes to put the reader in the mood. But it’s the romance that keeps one turning the pages, with descriptions of kisses that flutter the heart and with sexcapades erotic enough to sustain reader interest through half a chapter.

But think not that sex is all there is to Ms. Scott’s stories. Nay, there is intrigue and action, and explorations of her characters’ pasts that make their behaviours and attitudes believable.
