I laughed out loud at the absurd antics of a woman posing as a domestic in The UnDomestic Goddess. Not terribly skilled in the kitchen myself, I could definitely relate to the problems she encounters trying to pull off a multi-course meal with no clue as to how long various dishes take to prepare.
The added complications of her secret identity and the reasons for her abrupt escape from the life she knew to end up broke and stranded expose the difficulties women face trying to get ahead in the professional world.
Sophie Kinsella tells a tale with humour and warmth…and just a little sex.
